TotalCarb Terms of Service — Summary
By creating an account and selecting “I Agree,” you confirm you have read and accept the full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and enter into a binding agreement with Retro Signs & Design, trading as TotalCarb.
Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old to create a TotalCarb account. Parents or legal guardians may add child profiles to their own account on behalf of a minor in their care, and remain fully responsible for those profiles and any decisions made using them.
What TotalCarb is. TotalCarb uses artificial intelligence, combined with nutrient data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) FoodData Central database and AI search results, to estimate approximate total carbohydrate values from user-submitted photos, voice, and text input. TotalCarb is provided for informational purposes only and is not a medical device. All outputs are estimates that may be inaccurate or incomplete. TotalCarb does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and must not be used as a substitute for professional healthcare guidance. Do not ignore, delay, or modify the advice of your doctor, endocrinologist, diabetes educator, or dietitian based on anything you see in TotalCarb. Always confirm carbohydrate counts and insulin or medication decisions with your care team.
Payments. Subscription payments are processed and sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd (“Paddle”), our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, billing, invoicing, tax, and refunds on our behalf. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
Liability & governing law. You agree to use TotalCarb at your sole risk and not to rely on it for medical decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TotalCarb and its owners are not liable for any damages arising from use of TotalCarb or reliance on its outputs, and our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, and may be updated from time to time, with continued use constituting acceptance of changes. The full Terms include additional provisions on acceptable use, account termination, indemnification, and dispute resolution — please review them via the link above.
